Painful past experiences and current life stressors can deeply affect our mental health, relationships, and sense of self. Many of the patterns we develop to cope with difficult circumstances—such as disconnection, criticism, invalidation, loss, or trauma—once helped us adapt or survive. Over time, however, these same patterns can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or caught in ways of thinking and relating that no longer serve us.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, empathic, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore these patterns, better understand themselves, and work toward meaningful change. I am especially passionate about helping individuals understand how early family experiences and relationship patterns continue to influence their emotions, beliefs, relationships, and sense of self today.

I specialize in trauma-focused therapy for individuals ages 17 and older, including those experiencing trauma-related symptoms, PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, family-of-origin concerns, adjustment issues, relationship patterns, boundary concerns, and the impact of domestic violence. My work is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and connection, and I believe that healing often takes place within a genuine, collaborative, and growth-fostering therapeutic relationship.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT, and trauma-informed interventions, while also using a person-centered and holistic style to support emotional regulation, insight, resilience, and lasting personal growth. My goal is to help clients move beyond survival, develop a stronger sense of self, and build healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Applied Psychologist, National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II). I enjoy working with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and life backgrounds. As an immigrant from Germany, I bring personal knowledge of German culture and am fluent in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the German language.
